Hi — I’m Gareth. I build websites in seven days.
Solo designer and developer based in the UK. One project at a time. Flat fee, paid upfront. Full refund if I miss day seven. That’s the whole offer.

1 Week Sitesis a one-person studio that ships bespoke Next.js websites for small UK businesses — founders, coaches, small agencies, solo operators. One site per week. £1,000 flat fee. No retainers, no upsells, no lock-in.
How I got here
Twelve years in B2B sales before I wrote a line of production code. I spent that decade on the phone and in front of buyers — qualifying, demoing, closing, handling the objections that kill deals at the last minute. I learned what a landing page has to do in the first five seconds, because I watched prospects bounce off bad ones for a living.
Five years studying digital marketing alongside that — conversion rate optimisation, funnel design, paid acquisition, copywriting, SEO. Not an agency seat, not a job title. The thing I cared about was why some pages turn cold traffic into booked calls and most don’t. I got obsessed with the mechanics, then started building the pages myself instead of briefing them out.
1 Week Sites is the shape that obsession settled into. A studio that builds the site a small business actually needs — fast enough to be worth doing, cheap enough to be worth buying, technically good enough to still be working in three years.
What I actually do
I take one client per week. Monday morning we agree a scope on a one-page brief. Tuesday I design. Wednesday to Friday I build. Saturday is QA. Sunday it goes live on your domain. If anything slips past Sunday, you get a full refund within 48 hours — no kill fee, no partial, no argument.
Every site is built from scratch in Next.js, TypeScript strict, and Tailwind CSS — the same stack I use on this site. Deployed on Vercel. The repository transfers to your GitHub, the Vercel project to your account, the domain stays on your registrar. You own the code, the design, the infrastructure. If you never hear from me again, the site still works.
Why solo, why seven days, why £1,000
Because the agency model doesn’t fit small businesses. Twelve-week timelines exist because five people need to be paid for twelve weeks — not because your site needs twelve weeks to be good. Retainers exist because studios need predictable revenue — not because your site needs monthly work done to it. I charge a flat fee because that’s what you’re actually buying: a finished thing, once.
Seven days is short enough that scope has to be honest on day one, and long enough to ship something properly built. £1,000 is the number where I can take the project seriously and you can afford to take it seriously too, without needing a line of credit or a committee meeting. There’s no tier above it. If your project is genuinely bigger than a week’s work, I’ll say so on the discovery call and we’ll either scope a second sprint or I’ll point you elsewhere.
What I build with
- Next.js 16 with the App Router, React 19, and TypeScript in strict mode.
- Tailwind CSS 4 with a design token system in
globals.css. No utility soup. - Core Web Vitals as a pass/fail— LCP under 2.5s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1. Every site.
- WCAG 2.2 AA as a floor, not a ceiling. Keyboard navigation, visible focus, sufficient contrast, semantic HTML.
- Hosted on Vercel, deployed from GitHub. You get ownership of both the moment the project ships.
What I won’t do
- Twelve-week timelines for a five-page marketing site.
- Monthly retainers for work that doesn’t need doing monthly.
- Builds on Squarespace, Wix, or Webflow — if that’s what you need, those are fine choices and I’ll tell you so.
- Stock photography of people who don’t work at your business.
- Testimonials I can’t verify. Client case studies go up when clients approve them, not before.
How to work with me
- Run a free audit on your current site first. The same checks I run on day one of a build. No sign-up required, no sales follow-up.
- If the audit confirms you need a rebuild, book the next slot. £1,000 upfront, site live seven days later.
- Or just email hello@1weeksites.com with a sentence about what you’re building. I reply to every email.
