Terms, in plain English.
These are the terms you agree to when you commission a site from 1 Week Sites. They apply alongside your written quote and the brief you approve by email on day one.
The offer
One bespoke website, designed and built by Gareth Wray, in custom code (Astro or Next.js) or in Webflow as agreed in the brief, live on your domain within seven days of the project start date. A standard five-to-seven-page site is one sprint at £1,000 GBP, paid in full before work begins. Sites that need more pages take longer than a week and are scoped and priced on the discovery call. No retainer, no ongoing fee.
The guarantee
If the site is not live on your domain by end of day seven (the Tuesday after the kickoff call, 23:59 GMT), I refund the full fee within 48 hours. No kill fee, no partial deductions, no debate. The only exception is if the launch is blocked by something outside my control, for example you have not sent your photographs, you have not approved the copy or a design revision, or your domain registrar is experiencing an outage. In those cases the week is paused and we agree a new delivery date.
Scope and revisions
The pages and scope are fixed in writing before you pay. The brief you approve on the Tuesday confirms the dates and what I need from you, and when. One revision round is included, scheduled for Saturday. Changes that fall outside the original scope roll into a second sprint at a fresh quote. They do not invalidate the guarantee on the original scope.
Ownership
The site is yours the moment it is deployed. On a custom build the GitHub repository transfers to your account, the hosting project transfers to your account, and the domain stays on your registrar. On a Webflow build the site is held in my Webflow workspace, the Webflow site plan is billed by Webflow to your card, and Webflow hosts the site under its own terms. On your written request, at any time, I transfer the site to your own Webflow workspace at no charge, with the site plan and domain included. You own the content and the design either way. I retain no lock-in and no licence to the design or content. On a custom build I keep no access after handover; on a Webflow build my access ends when the site is transferred to you.
Third-party costs
Domain registration, hosting, a Webflow site plan where the site is built in Webflow, and any third-party services (Stripe, analytics providers, email platforms, and so on) are paid by you directly to those providers. None of those costs are included in the sprint fee, and none are marked up.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the English courts.
