Before: Lewis's own landing page, archived June 2026. After: the 29-page site I built, live September 2026. Read the case study.
Seven daysBrief on a Tuesday, live the following Tuesday.
From £1,000One sprint, up to about seven pages, paid before work starts.
Redirects includedEvery old address that changes is redirected, as part of the build.
Full refundNot live on the agreed day, for any reason on my side: every penny back.

Will a website redesign hurt my Google rankings?

It can, if it is done carelessly: pages that rank get new addresses, or lose the wording buyers search for, and the traffic goes with them. It should not if the pages that earn traffic are kept and every address that changes is redirected. I do not promise rankings, and nobody honest does.

Sitemap submission and watching Search Console after launch are part of the SEO package.

How much does a website redesign cost?

£1,000 with me, paid up front, for up to about seven pages. That is the same whether it is built in custom code or in Webflow. For comparison, the UK picture in 2026: DIY builders £9 to £79 a month, freelancers £300 to £2,000, studios £1,000 to £5,000, agencies £8,000 to £15,000. The cost guide has the sources.

  • Bigger siteMore sprints, quoted before you pay.
  • Custom buildHosting is free, and you own the code, the hosting project and the domain.
  • Webflow buildYou pay Webflow directly for the site plan, from $15 a month billed yearly, in US dollars plus tax (checked 22 September 2026).
  • GuaranteeIf it is not live on the agreed Tuesday for any reason on my side, you get a full refund, no deductions, back in your account within 48 hours.

How long does a website redesign take?

Seven days with me, brief on a Tuesday and live the following Tuesday. Agencies typically take eight to twelve weeks. Before the brief, run the free audit on your current site so you and I both know what is actually broken. It takes about a minute and needs no email.

What is included in a website redesign?

  • A new designUp to about seven pages, drawn for your business, not a template with your logo on it.
  • The buildIn custom code (Astro or Next.js) or in Webflow, whichever you prefer, at the same price.
  • Your copyKept where it works and rewritten where it does not, page by page.
  • One round of revisionsThen launch on your own domain.
  • Not for you ifYou want a shop (that belongs on Shopify with a Shopify developer), a build on WordPress, Wix or Squarespace, or a twelve-week timeline for a five-page site.

It is built for small firms of one to ten people, mostly B2B, that know the site is letting them down and dread the rebuild: the cost, the months, the agency runaround.

Redesigning a WordPress, Wix or Squarespace site

If your site is on WordPress, Wix or Squarespace, the redesign moves it onto a build you own. I do not build on those platforms. The pages and wording worth keeping come across, and your domain stays at your own registrar.

Want the site moved across as it is, without a new design? That is website migration. Weighing up staying put? Read how I compare with WordPress, Wix and Squarespace.

Proof comes after the answers on purpose. These are named, live and used with permission.

  • Sites I have built
  • Unlimitely: it started as a single landing page that Lewis built himself. I rebuilt it as a twenty-nine-page hand-coded site for a lead-generation agency selling to home extension builders, live September 2026, with a video testimonial from the founder, Lewis Ford.
  • MN Online Coach: a new website for a Sheffield online fitness coach, with a TDEE calculator and a protein-guide lead magnet, and a video testimonial from Mac Nowicki.

Questions people ask before a website redesign.

Do I need a redesign, or just some fixes? Run the free audit first. It scores your current site in about a minute and lists what is wrong, so you can see whether a redesign is the answer or a handful of fixes would do.
How much does a website redesign cost in the UK? From me, £1,000 for up to about seven pages, custom-coded or built in Webflow. Across the UK in 2026, DIY builders cost £9 to £79 a month, freelancers £300 to £2,000, studios £1,000 to £5,000 and agencies £8,000 to £15,000. The cost guide has the sources.
How long does a website redesign take? Seven days with me: brief on a Tuesday, live the following Tuesday. Agencies typically take eight to twelve weeks.
Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings? It can if it is done carelessly, and I do not promise rankings either way. I keep what does well, and every old address that changes is redirected to the new page as part of the build, so old links and old rankings are not thrown away. Watching Search Console afterwards is part of the SEO package.
Do I keep my domain? Yes. The domain stays at your own registrar. On a custom build you also own the code and the hosting project.
Custom code or Webflow? Same sprint, same price. Custom code is the fastest site and code you own. Webflow suits you if you want to edit pages yourself.
What if my site is bigger than seven pages? It is scoped on the call as more sprints, and you see the number before you pay.
Can you redesign an online shop? No. A shop belongs on Shopify with a Shopify developer. What I build is the site around it.
Do I need to write the new content? Not from scratch. Where your current copy works I keep it and tighten it. Where it does not, I rewrite it. It depends on the page.
