How much do website design and SEO cost together?
The build is £1,000 a sprint, paid before work starts: a bespoke site of up to about seven pages, live in seven days, with the search foundations included. Ongoing SEO is a separate, optional monthly service from £500, rolling, cancel any month by email.

Will a new website rank on Google by itself?
Not by itself, and anyone who says otherwise is selling. A well-built site removes everything stopping it ranking: fast pages, one page per service named for what people type, clean titles and headings, structured data and a sitemap.
What moves it up after that is pages that answer real questions and links from other sites. That is the monthly work. I do not promise rankings, and nobody honest does.
What SEO comes with the build, and what is monthly?
Built in, every time: a page for each service named for the search, titles and first sentences that say what you do and where, schema, a sitemap, robots and llms.txt on launch day, Core Web Vitals green and Lighthouse 95 or higher on mobile.
Monthly, if you want it: content pages researched and written, links earned and bought, a technical sweep, the AI-visibility layer, Search Console watched weekly and a one-page report. That is the SEO and GEO service.
Should the same person do the design and the SEO?
It saves the most common failure: a designer builds something pretty, then an SEO agency rebuilds half of it. When one person does both, the page structure is the search plan from the first day.

Will it show up in ChatGPT and Google's AI answers?
That is part of the same job now. AI answers read sites the way search engines do, then prefer pages that state facts plainly and that other sources mention.

How long until it shows up, and has it worked before?
New pages usually take six to twelve weeks to settle in Google, and longer to be cited by AI.
My own website-cost guide was published on 23 April 2026 and appeared in ChatGPT's sources for "how much does a website cost in the UK" on 15 May, 22 days later. It is not cited today, because I stopped working on that page over the summer: the result came from the work, and it fades without it.
